Love Song '26

This is... Love Song '26

Pour corvid ink
Over my thinning skin.
Feel the creases
and the kinks.
Like if Medusa's snakes were constrictors
Spilling over shoulders.
Corkscrewing round her arms
Tongues tasting the air around them
Keeping their mistress safe.
I need syncopated breathing  to sleep
I write like a raven's movement
All nervousness in grace.
Before, I didn't understand
your part in me when you held my hand
When you said you knew me.
Unkempt gardens are meant for carefree foxes.
Hollow shells for listening to the seas.
Ivy vines made for intertwining.
Not for crowns.
Darkwave city shielding from the low slung
End of summer sun.
